About Me: Passionate Lawyer Committed to Human Rights and Peaceful Resolutions
Hello and welcome to UP's website!
I am a dedicated lawyer with a strong focus on human rights and providing peaceful resolutions to legal issues. My primary goal is to help the marginalised and underserved members of society by advocating for their rights and seeking amicable solutions to their problems.
Throughout my career, I have consistently prioritised peaceful resolutions over courtroom battles. I firmly believe that by fostering open communication and promoting understanding, many conflicts can be resolved outside of the courtroom. I work closely with my clients to understand their needs and concerns, guiding them towards peaceful and amicable solutions that serve their best interests.
In addition to my work with individuals, I also provide advisory services to various local and international NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations) and NGIs (Non-Governmental Institutions), which include trainings for human rights defenders, human rights protection under local laws, and incorporation of human rights groups into formal entities. I consider myself fortunate to be able to do what I am passionate about in my line of work of supporting these organisations in their important work and providing legal guidance that aligns with their missions. By offering my expertise and insights, I contribute to their success in making a positive impact in the world.
One of the aspects of my legal practice that I particularly enjoy is acting as a defence counsel in criminal cases. I have experience handling a diverse range of criminal matters, including cases from petty crimes to drugs, penal code offenses, corporate crime or white-collar crimes, murder, manslaughter, burglary, cheating, impersonating a police officer, obstruction of justice, traffic violations, child sexual offenses, and various other legal issues.
By serving as a defence counsel, I am committed to upholding the principles of justice and rule of law. My role is to ensure a fair trial for my clients while upholding my duty to the Court to uphold the rule of law. I approach each case with meticulous preparation, a deep understanding of the law, and a genuine desire to protect the rights of the accused. I believe that everyone deserves a competent defence, regardless of the nature of the charges they face.
Throughout my career, I have witnessed the positive impact that effective legal advice and representation can have on individuals and communities. I am grateful for the opportunity to provide online and in person consultations to my clients, empowering them with knowledge and guiding them towards favorable outcomes. It is immensely satisfying to see their problems resolved through these consultations, often without the need for initiating lengthy court proceedings.
